About this expansion

Android: Netrunner – The Source is a 2014 Data Pack for two players, with games lasting approximately 45 minutes. It is the sixth and final Data Pack in the Lunar Cycle, bringing sixty new cards to the cyberstruggles of Android: Netrunner.

Nasir Meidan has left Heinlein for Earth and the relative safety of his apartment. Staring at a drive in his hand, he boots up his console and wonders whether his download succeeded—and whether the drive truly contains the net’s legendary source protocols.

The Source presents surprising new perspectives on life, evolution, and death in the virtual world. Its cards introduce fresh possibilities for both Corps and those making runs, expanding the Lunar Cycle with new ways to shape the network and respond to its dangers.

  • Sixty new cards in total
  • Three copies each of twenty different cards
  • Assets that reward Corps for creating new servers
  • Assets capable of self-destructing
  • Self-propagating viruses that can explode into the network
  • Programs that reward you for jacking out of your runs

After a series of thrilling encounters with Corporate security measures and security officers, all that remains is to pull up the files. The Source closes the lunar expedition with cards built around discovery, network growth, destruction, and the risks of pushing deeper into a run.

Whether you are following Nasir Meidan’s search or looking to explore the Data Pack’s unusual takes on virtual life and death, Android: Netrunner – The Source provides a focused final chapter for the Lunar Cycle.
