About this expansion
Android: Netrunner – Upstalk is a two-player data pack for Android: Netrunner, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Released in 2014, it is the first Data Pack in the Lunar Cycle, transporting the game to the moon and an entirely new setting.
Upstalk contains 60 new cards: three copies each of 20 different cards. These additions invite both Runners and Corps to explore new strategies while challenging many standard expectations of the game. On the moon, even familiar ideas can take an unusual turn.
- New setting: Explore an all-new meat space on the moon.
- New strategic possibilities: Runners and Corps gain fresh ways to approach the game.
- Unusual trace consequences: Corporate trace attempts can punish Runners even when they fail.
- Corporate presence: Corporate assets are everywhere, and life outside Corporate-sponsored air is nonexistent.
- Mysterious discoveries: Those who manage or run the net may encounter a shard or fragment of mythical source code.
The lunar environment gives Upstalk a distinctive atmosphere, where life is described as being one-point-two seconds out of the ordinary. Corporate power is inescapable, the net may conceal extraordinary discoveries, and the consequences of a single moment can be far-reaching.
Designed for the ongoing Android: Netrunner experience, Upstalk adds a focused collection of cards rather than presenting a standalone game. Whether exploring new Runner tactics or developing fresh Corp strategies, players can discover how much can happen in one-point-two seconds.
