Anno 1800: The Power of Gold Mini-Expansion

About this expansion

Anno 1800: The Power of Gold Mini-Expansion is a mini-expansion for 2–4 players, designed for Anno 1800 games lasting around 120 minutes. It adds two new assignment cards that create fresh opportunities to gain and spend gold.

In the main game, players continuously develop their own industry to advance their home island. This mini-expansion adds more variety to those strategic decisions by introducing new gold-focused options through its assignment cards.

• Dr. Hugo Mercier: Spend gold to avoid receiving new population cards.
• Lady Margaret Hunt: Gain gold when you tear down a building.

These two assignments offer distinct ways to connect gold with the development of your island. Dr. Hugo Mercier lets players use their gold to manage population cards, while Lady Margaret Hunt rewards the decision to dismantle a building.

Anno 1800: The Power of Gold Mini-Expansion brings a compact rules addition to the large-scale building strategy game. Released in 2020, it gives players new ways to consider when gold is most valuable—whether it is spent to avoid new population cards or earned by tearing down buildings.
