About this board game

Cleptómano is a real-time dexterity game for 1–8 players, with a playing time of around 30 minutes. Players become museum thieves, using their fingers to navigate a laser-protected corridor, reach the gallery, and steal valuable art before time runs out.

Set up the museum by crossing red wooden sticks between the walls to create an obstacle course. The box base becomes the gallery, where the paintings are placed, while relics are positioned along the corridor. A guard token and a timer complete the security system.

When ready, start the timer and begin the 60-second heist. “Walk” through the corridor with your fingers, carefully avoiding the lasers as you make your way to the gallery. To build your haul, you must steal at least one painting before taking any relics.

  • Paintings are worth 2 points each.
  • Relics are worth 1 point each.
  • Touching the lasers and getting too greedy can leave you caught by the guard.

After reaching the gallery and stealing a painting, you must return to the museum entrance with your loot. Once safely out, decide whether to keep your score or risk another trip for more valuables—and potentially lose everything.

The player with the most points wins the round, and the first player to win two rounds wins the game. With its finger-walking movement, ticking clock, and physical laser maze, Cleptómano turns every museum robbery into a tense race against time.
