Commands & Colors: Ancients Expansion Pack #1 – Greece & Eastern Kingdoms is a two-player expansion for Commands & Colors: Ancients, featuring battles designed to play in about 60 minutes.

Guide the armies of Philip, Alexander and the Successors against the forces of Persia, Scythia and India. The expansion also lets Greek armies turn west to face Carthage in Sicily, or fight the Romans as King Pyrrhus at Heraclea and Ausculum.

More than 20 historical scenarios cover a wide range of ancient conflicts. Recreate the Greek defense against Persia at Marathon and Plataea, relive major episodes of the Peloponnesian War and the rise of Macedon, or command Alexander’s forces at Granicus, Issus and Gaugamela.

The battle dice resolve combat quickly, while command cards introduce luck, fog of war and changing opportunities. Players must respond to the challenges presented by their cards while using tactics suited to each army’s units, weapons, terrain and historical strengths and limitations.

Designed to portray stylized ancient battles that reach a conclusion in less than an hour, this expansion broadens the Commands & Colors: Ancients system with a rich collection of confrontations spanning Greece, Macedon, Persia and the eastern kingdoms.
