About this expansion

Commands & Colors: Ancients Expansion Pack #5 – Epic Ancients II is an expansion for 2–8 players with a playing time of about 60 minutes, offering experienced players the chance to fight historical ancient battles on an Epic scale.

The Epic Ancients rules are not overly complex and do not change how the basic Commands & Colors: Ancients system works. Instead, they support larger battles and bring the competitive fun of an Epic-sized game to groups of up to eight friends. Epic Ancients also works well as a two-player game when opponents want to spend extra time on a battle.

This expansion includes 12 Epic Ancients battles presented on six double-sided, durable 11×17-inch battle cards. The cards are designed to be easy to read, while two wooden card holders help keep the battle materials organized during play. A special deck of 100 Command cards, modified for Epic play, is also included.

To play the scenarios in Epic Ancients II, you need the basic Commands & Colors: Ancients game and the other expansions, especially Expansion #1: Greece and the Eastern Kingdoms. Expansion #2: Rome vs The Barbarians and Expansion #3: The Roman Civil Wars are also very useful.

Scenario note: Bagradas is shown as requiring seven banners for victory, but the correct requirement is 14 banners.
