About this board game

Paddy is a landscape-building board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 45 minutes. Set in the mountains of Southeast Asia, it challenges players to create terraces of rice paddies while shaping the flow of water across a growing landscape.

On each turn, choose what type of tile to add to the paddy, then decide whether to place it in the day or night half. Every new tile changes how the paddy develops and adapts to the movement of water, helping prepare the ground for your species to thrive.

Paddy combines shared construction with direct competition. Players collaborate to sculpt a landscape of terraces and water channels, but each player also seeks to secure the best pastures for their species. Your choices influence both the growth of the paddy and the irrigation of its fields.

The game unfolds across four cycles, with points awarded as the landscape develops. When the final cycle ends, the player with the most points wins.

Released in 2025, Paddy is the fourth installment in the Natural Wonders series, following Coral, Islet, and Gold Nugget. It offers a focused setting where every tile placement helps shape a living, irrigated landscape.
