About this expansion
Petrichor: Cactus, Lake & Fertilizer is 2018 promo content for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 80 minutes. Unlocked during the 2017 Kickstarter Campaign, it adds new crop tiles and fertilizer tokens to the existing game.
The content arrives as two punchboards. Two additional crop tiles, Cactus and The Lake, can be added to the existing crop tiles during game setup, giving players more variety when preparing a game.
- Cactus, identified as Opuntia ficus-indica
- The Lake, identified as Lacus Ludus, literally “Game Lake”
- A token used with the Cactus tile
- Fertilizer tokens
Fertilizer tokens introduce a new mechanic: fertilized crop tiles yield more return. This provides an additional way for the new content to affect the crop tiles already included in the game.
Designed as a compact addition to the existing crop selection, Petrichor: Cactus, Lake & Fertilizer combines setup variety with a focused fertilizer mechanic. The rules for this content are listed on the last page of the rule book from the Kickstarter base game, making them easy to locate alongside the original game’s rules.
