Shadows of Brimstone: The Ancient One is a board game for 1–4 players, with a play time of approximately 120 minutes, released in 2017. It pits the Heroes against a massive alien being whose nightmares can create worlds and crush entire realities.

As old as time itself, The Ancient One slumbers in the Void, dreaming of existence beyond the stars. When this terrifying entity stirs, it tears open time and space to manifest in the world, bringing Ancient Doom and despair to everyone who sees its hideous, twisting form.

The Ancient One is an XXL Enemy who rivals Beli’al in both size and theme. During the fight, it can alter reality beneath the Heroes, shifting time, rewriting history, and breaking open portals to other dimensions. Its monstrous Sword of Felg’nar lets it sweep through groups of Heroes with a single devastating strike.

Each appearance also comes with a deck of Ancient Doom cards. Whenever The Ancient One enters play, one card is drawn to reveal why it has emerged from the Void and what drives its assault.
