About this expansion

Elevation is a 2025 fan expansion for Android: Netrunner for 2 players, with games lasting about 30 minutes. It expands the card pool established by System Gateway while introducing a vivid new setting centered on a space elevator under construction.

At the heart of the setting is the Mahkota Langit, the world’s last and greatest space elevator, rising from a sacred mountaintop in central Borneo. Around it, Kota Kalimantan has grown into Earth’s newest megacity, spreading across central Borneo, ignoring borders, and absorbing cities in its path.

The elevator is a project of the loosely allied Oceanic and Southeast Asian Nations. OSEAN hopes to create a space elevator free from megacorporation control, with enough scale and technological superiority to surpass Earth’s two other elevators.

• Broadens the core Netrunner card pool beyond System Gateway
• Rounds out the thematic and mechanical identities of three Runner and four Corp factions
• Provides the foundation for the Null Signal Games Standard and Startup formats alongside System Gateway
• Sets the action against the construction of the Mahkota Langit and the surrounding megacity

Unlike expansions in cycles such as the Liberation Cycle, Elevation does not deliver one single narrative. Instead, Kota Kalimantan offers a setting filled with dozens of stories waiting to be discovered, giving players room to create their own tales without preset conclusions.
