Terraforming Mars: Terra Cimmeria – Big Board Edition is a fan-made board for Terraforming Mars, designed for 1–5 players and released in 2022. It introduces a new map area along with original milestones, awards, and a special rule that changes how one location can be used.

When you place a tile on the MSL Curiosity area, you get a colony for just 5 M€. This distinctive rule gives the board its own strategic focus while you work toward the new objectives provided by Terra Cimmeria.

The six milestones reward a range of achievements, from developing planet-related tags to building cities and expanding around ocean tiles. Production and resource targets also matter, including plant production, M€ production, and floater resources.

• Planetologist: Achieve 5 planet tags, including Earth, Jovian, or Venus tags.
• Architect: Have 3 city tags.
• Coastguard: Have 4 tiles adjacent to ocean tiles.
• Forester: Have 5 plant production.
• Investor: Have 13 MC production.
• Hoverlord: Have 7 floater resources.

Five awards add further competition at the end of the game. Players can contend for the most power tags, the most tiles adjacent to special tiles, the most production other than M€, the most animal or microbe resources, and the most blue or green cards with requirements.

In the commercially published version, Investor is replaced by Fundraiser, requiring 12 M€ production. With its mix of placement conditions, production targets, tags, and resources, Terra Cimmeria offers a fresh set of priorities for Terraforming Mars players.
