Terraforming Mars: Vastitas Borealis – Big Board Edition is a fan-made board for Terraforming Mars, released in 2022 for 1–5 players. It adds a new board layout with special rules, six milestones, and six awards.

The board introduces two location-based bonuses. Placing a tile on the Viking 1 or Viking 2 areas gives you a delegate for free, which you place in the delegate area of your desired party. Placing a tile on a temperature area lets you raise the temperature for 4 MC.

Six new milestones reward distinct achievements across your development. Their requirements focus on tags, production, tiles, and resources:

• Agronomist: Have 4 plant tags.
• Spacefarer: Have 5 space tags.
• Geologist: Have 4 tiles on and/or at volcanic areas.
• Engineer: Achieve 10 energy/heat production.
• Farmer: Have 6 animal/microbe resources.
• Hoverlord: Have 7 floater resources.

The awards provide another set of objectives to pursue and compare. They recognize planet tags, tile adjacency, placement away from oceans, event cards, steel and titanium production, and Venus tags.

In Vastitas Borealis – Big Board Edition, the Traveller, Landscaper, Highlander, Promoter, Blacksmith, and Venuphile awards add varied scoring priorities to the board. Together with its milestones and special rules, this fan-made edition offers a fresh set of targets for Terraforming Mars players.
