Zooloretto: Building Sites

About this expansion

Zooloretto: Building Sites is a 2007 expansion for Zooloretto, designed for 2–5 players with a play time of 45 minutes.

Available in the May 2007 issue of Spielbox, this expansion adds construction site tiles to the game. These tiles can be used to block other players’ zoos and limit their scoring potential.

The expansion consists of nine construction site tiles. They are divided into three types, with three tiles dedicated to each type:

• Three enclosure construction site tiles
• Three vending stall construction site tiles
• Three barn construction site tiles

These components introduce a direct way to interfere with the available space in opposing zoos. By using construction sites to block other players, Zooloretto: Building Sites makes the layout of each zoo an important part of the expansion’s impact.

The blocked areas can also reduce opponents’ scoring potential, giving the tiles a clear competitive purpose. Rather than adding a separate game, Building Sites expands Zooloretto with a focused set of components centered on obstruction and scoring limitations.

For groups already playing Zooloretto, this compact expansion offers nine tiles that can affect enclosures, vending stalls, and barns. Its defined set of construction sites keeps the addition easy to identify while adding another way for players to influence one another’s zoos.
