About this expansion

Android: Netrunner – First Contact is a two-player Data Pack for Android: Netrunner, designed for games of approximately 45 minutes. As the third Data Pack in the Lunar Cycle, it takes the Corp-versus-Runner conflict to Heinlein, the moon.

After heading Upstalk and passing through The Spaces Between, the struggle lands in a strange and alien environment. Gravity is low, people wear spacesuits, and only one city is fully established. Everything is enclosed, confined, and watched, while the Corps maintain almost complete control over much of the setting.

First Contact introduces new ways to shape contests between Corp and Runner. Its 60 cards contain three copies each of 20 different cards, adding new tools and themes to the ongoing cyberstruggle.

  • Three new region upgrades
  • Mythic ice
  • New traps and resources
  • A new Anarch identity

The setting reaches from the remotest edges of Port Anson Grid to the seedy underbelly of Duggar’s. Across these locations, familiar ideas take on subtly different forms, creating an atmosphere where guidance can be as important as discovering what the moon has to offer.

With its enclosed lunar setting and focus on new Corp and Runner options, Android: Netrunner – First Contact expands the Lunar Cycle with a distinctive sense of place. It is a focused addition for players continuing the game’s ongoing cyberstruggles and exploring the changing balance between control, deception, and resistance.
