About this expansion

A GI’s Dozen is a 2003 collection of 13 classic Squad Leader scenarios for two players, with each session listed at approximately 180 minutes. The scenarios feature the Americans and have been converted for use with Advanced Squad Leader rules.

This collection draws its scenarios from GI: Anvil of Victory and the 300 series. It provides a focused way to revisit these classic scenarios within the Advanced Squad Leader system, while bringing together a substantial selection of American-themed material in one collection.

Playing A GI’s Dozen requires ownership of the core Advanced Squad Leader materials and several specific components. The required items are:

  • Advanced Squad Leader
  • Beyond Valor
  • Yanks
  • West of Alamein
  • Boards 1–8, 12–15, and 44

Because the scenarios are converted to Advanced Squad Leader rules, the collection is intended for players who already have access to that system and its required modules and boards. The listed ownership requirements are an important part of preparing the scenarios for play.

A fairly complete list of the original Squad Leader scenarios, together with their Advanced Squad Leader scenario numbers and publication data, is available through the Tactical Wargamer reference linked in the original description. This can help players identify the source and corresponding publication information for the scenarios included in the collection.

As an expansion to Advanced Squad Leader, A GI’s Dozen adds 13 converted scenarios to the broader system. Its American focus, extended playing time, and connection to classic Squad Leader material make it a dedicated scenario collection for Advanced Squad Leader players.
