Age of Steam Expansion: Austria & India is a 2007 expansion for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes. Designed by the Steam Brothers, it presents two distinct maps that change how the Age of Steam experience unfolds.

The India map was created in response to requests for a map that preserves the feeling of the basic game. Its new rules are simple, yet they produce a challenging experience. The central additions concern the production rule and the monsoon, which affects your economy.

Austria offers a very different setting and is a two-player-only map. It originally appeared in 2005 as part of Age of Steam Expansion: Austria, Switzerland & The Netherlands, before being included here alongside India.

• India keeps the feel of the basic map while introducing production and monsoon rules.
• Austria features a completely changed economy with no shares available.
• Austria includes three goods shipment phases and combines John Bohrer’s two-player rules with the Steam Brothers’ design.
