About this expansion

Combopolis is a 15-minute tile-laying game for 1–4 players, combining the city-building challenge of Sprawlopolis with the countryside of Agropolis. As the city and countryside expand and converge, players manage the entire region while working toward a shared final score.

This variant uses a six-card combo pack alongside the original game decks. Card-passing is removed: each deck is shuffled separately, then one card from each deck is flipped to reveal two scoring conditions. A third card drawn from the combo pack reveals the final scoring condition, while another combo-pack card serves as the starting tile and displays two blocks from the included terrains.

On every turn, draw one card from each game deck. Choose one card to play and discard the other. Because both decks are used at the same rate, the game ends after the final two cards are drawn and played or discarded.

  • Combine the Sprawlopolis and Agropolis decks in one regional puzzle.
  • Reveal three scoring conditions for each game.
  • Choose between two drawn cards on every turn.
  • Score the largest two block groups from each game.
  • Lose points for individual roads.

Successful planning means balancing the needs of both environments while responding to the three revealed scoring conditions. Players score for their largest block groups, lose points for individual roads, and gain or lose points according to the scoring cards.

With its compact card format and simultaneous use of two game decks, Combopolis offers a focused way to bring the two standalone puzzles together. Released in 2021, it turns the expanding region into a concise challenge for solo players or groups of up to four.
