Terraforming Mars: Carbon Nanosystems Promo Card

About this expansion

Terraforming Mars: Carbon Nanosystems Promo Card is a 2024 promo card for Terraforming Mars, a game for 1–5 players with a 120-minute play time.

Carbon Nanosystems is an active card with both Science and Building tags. Its effects connect science-tag plays with future space- and city-tag plays through graphene resources.

Whenever you play a science tag, including Carbon Nanosystems itself, add a graphene resource to this card. The card therefore provides a place to collect graphene as science tags enter play.

When playing a space tag or a city tag, graphene resources may be used as 4 M€ each. This gives the stored resources a defined value during those plays, while keeping the card’s effects focused on science, space, and city tags.

Terraforming Mars: Carbon Nanosystems Promo Card was included in the Kickstarter for Prelude 2. It is also available in limited quantities at select board game conventions or from FryxGames.

As a compact promotional addition, Carbon Nanosystems introduces a clearly defined resource interaction to Terraforming Mars. Add it to a game when you want the Science and Building tags, graphene storage, and stated conversion effect represented by this promo card.
