About this expansion

Valeria: Card Kingdoms – Crimson Seas (Kickstarter Edition) is an expansion for 1–5 players, with games lasting approximately 45 minutes. Released in 2019, it sends players beyond Valeria’s borders to explore distant islands, gather resources, and confront the dangers of the sea.

Crimson Seas introduces The Islands, a new game board positioned along the top of the play area. To reach these far-off lands, players use the new Sail action by spending one Map token. Each destination offers a different opportunity and expands the ways players can develop their game.

• Araby: Gain trade Goods that can increase victory points.
• Nae Aerie: Acquire powerful Tomes that augment resource production.
• Exekratys: Retrieve lost resources.
• Amarynth: Rescue captured Nobles from the villainous Amarynth Empire.

Players can also plunder the wealth of the Cursed Isle, but the seas are not without peril. Monsters of the sea increase in strength and sow chaos throughout Valeria, creating an escalating threat as the game unfolds.

Valeria: Card Kingdoms – Crimson Seas adds new icons, tokens, mechanics, card types, and cards for every existing card type. The Kickstarter edition also contains Expansion Pack #07: Ward Towers, which will be available separately for those who obtain the retail edition of Crimson Seas.
