About this expansion

Sprawlopolis: Roadwork is a 2023 expansion for 1–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. It adds four road-focused cards that challenge players to keep their cities moving while dealing with traffic congestion.

Each player receives one of the four cards in the expansion. Before the game ends, that card must be played; otherwise, it costs the player points. The central challenge is fitting the card into the city so it integrates seamlessly with the roads.

That placement requirement is rarely as easy to accomplish as it sounds. Roadwork therefore adds a demanding extra consideration to the city-building puzzle: players must find a suitable place for their road card while managing the rest of their city.
