Carcassonne: Dragon & Fairy is a fantasy expansion for the award-winning Carcassonne, bringing dragon nests, volcanoes, magic gates, and princesses to games for 2–6 players. A game lasts approximately 60 minutes, and this expansion was released in 2005.

The land around Carcassonne is no longer safe for its followers. A dragon has arrived, creating danger throughout the region, while brave heroes venture forth to confront it. Their chances of success are greatly improved by the aid of the fairies.

New elements also shape life within and around the city. The princess seeks help from the knights, while farmers construct secret passages that allow them to move about undetected by the dragon. Together, these additions move Carcassonne into a realm of fantasy without leaving its medieval setting behind.
