Batman: Gotham City Chronicles – League of Assassins Expansion is a thematic expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. It introduces a three-mission campaign in which Gotham’s heroes attempt to stop Ra’s Al Ghul and the League of Assassins from cleansing the city.

Ra’s Al Ghul leads from the front, using his formidable munitions skills and Lazarus Pit-induced regeneration. His daughter Talia, the deadly Lady Shiva, and the monstrous Heretic join him, each bringing distinctive abilities and new threats to the battlefield.

The campaign’s missions are played sequentially, and the villain’s progress carries forward. During the first two missions, Ra’s Al Ghul gathers a DNA sample from Damien, Professor Langstrom’s formula, and Batman’s DNA. What he succeeds in amassing determines the statistics of the Man-Bat commandos in the climactic third mission.

Assassins are swift, versatile troops who avoid ranged attacks, while Assassins with rifle combine ranged combat with explosives expertise. Talia can recruit rifle-equipped Assassins, Lady Shiva hunts enemy Leaders or Lieutenants with her Fatality ability, and Heretic uses his berserk fury to strike multiple opponents.

With its evolving final mission, iconic villains, and flexible troop options, Batman: Gotham City Chronicles – League of Assassins Expansion adds a focused campaign and new tactical possibilities to Gotham’s ongoing struggle.
