About this expansion

Batman: Gotham City Chronicles – Solo-Cooperative Mode Expansion is a game mode for 1–4 players with an approximately 90-minute play time, allowing Adventure Mode scenarios to be played solo or cooperatively without anyone taking the role of the Villain.

The mode uses AI-driven behavior to control both henchmen and supervillains as players face each mission’s objectives. Each mission uses a dedicated deck selected from around 100 available cards, helping the AI adapt its behavior to the challenges of that scenario.

Every iconic supervillain also has an individual card, adding further variety and making each mission more dynamic. The system was developed by Jason Keeping through several hundred matches and community feedback, then polished and simplified in collaboration with the publisher’s teams.

  • Supports solo and cooperative play for 1–4 players.
  • Uses mission-specific AI decks to direct enemy behavior.
  • Includes individual cards for iconic supervillains.
  • Works with Adventure Mode scenarios from Seasons 1, 2, and 3.
  • Also supports the official scenario from The Overlord magazine.

With this expansion, more than 60 scenarios can be played without a human Villain player. That makes the Adventure Mode content more accessible to groups seeking cooperative play, as well as to solo players who want to experience Gotham’s missions alone.

Batman: Gotham City Chronicles – Solo-Cooperative Mode Expansion is designed to provide a dedicated AI framework across a wide range of scenarios, combining adaptable enemy behavior with the distinctive supervillains and objectives found throughout the Adventure Mode.
