Insidious lays its eggs in dark, concealed places across any locations it can find. When investigators encounter this monster, they may succeed against it—but its death triggers an especially dangerous surprise. One of its eggs hatches, and Insidious emerges once more, fully grown and ready to kill.

The threat does not end there. The reborn Insidious is also ready to breed, and as long as even one of its eggs remains on the board, Insidious will not die. Investigators must therefore confront both the monster and the hidden source of its continued return.
