Deep Madness: Drifter King – Epic Monster

About this expansion

Deep Madness: Drifter King – Epic Monster is an epic monster pack for Deep Madness, a 1–6 player game released in 2019.

The Drifter King rises majestically from a towering rocky seat, enthroned above a slimy, barnacle-encrusted stone dais. Its thick, meaty tentacles coil, curl, and whip against the rock, while a scepter crowned with otherworldly fire burns like a maddening beacon in the night.

Encountering this king is an experience of awe, terror, and unsettling transformation. Tears become streaks of blood, reality begins to shimmer and fracture, and a strange symbol appears in the air: the sign of the king.

As the king’s court assembles from the cracks between worlds, its creeping courtiers pantomime and cavort in an eldritch play. Their movements form a spectacle capable of driving even the sanest observer into gibbering fits, blurring the boundary between performance and nightmare.

• A towering tentacled epic monster enthroned on a rocky dais
• A scepter crowned with otherworldly fire
• An eldritch court emerging from the cracks between worlds
• A reality-fracturing atmosphere of masks, symbols, and madness

In this vision of existence, all reality is merely a stage and life little more than sound and fury, watched by beings beyond time and dimensions. The king’s feast brings the scene to its horrifying conclusion as its victim becomes unable to speak or move, their face hardened into a rigid mask.

With its grotesque imagery and cosmic theatricality, Deep Madness: Drifter King – Epic Monster presents a memorable addition to the dark world of Deep Madness.
