Rail Barons of the World

About this expansion

Rail Barons of the World is a 2022 board game for 1–6 players, with games taking about 120 minutes. It brings a universal Rail Baron deck and a dedicated solo mode to the Railways of the World Series.

The universal Rail Baron deck can be used with any Railways of the World Series map. Each Rail Baron presents a goal for players to achieve while playing a map, offering an additional objective and the chance to earn points.

Rail Barons of the World also introduces a solo system for seven Railways of the World Series maps. This mode adds new twists and challenges to each supported map, creating a different way to experience the series without requiring a multiplayer group.

Use the deck with the Railways of the World Series map of your choice, or explore the included solo challenges across the seven featured settings. The combination of map-based play, goal-driven Rail Baron cards, and new solo twists gives this release a flexible role within the series.

The solo system was designed by Dávid Turczi and John Albertson. Whether played with up to six players or alone, Rail Barons of the World expands the Railways of the World experience with universal objectives and dedicated solo content.
